Finding Strength in Shared Stories

Loneliness is one of the most common and least talked about challenges of immigration. In response, Arrived created a support circle for Ethiopian women in the D.C. metro area — a space to share about the unique challenges of navigating life in a new country as a woman and build relationships that support emotional wellbeing.

Building Skills for Healing

The trauma of forced migration and stress of uncertain immigration status takes a toll on short-term stability and long-term health. In response, Arrived created a monthly psychoeducation workshop where clients share their experiences, feel accompanied in their healing, and build coping skills that foster lasting wellbeing.
