For generations, immigrants have arrived in the United States in pursuit of a fundamental promise: safety for those who need it, and opportunity for those willing to work for it. Today, the National Capital Area is home to roughly 1.5 million foreign-born residents who are delivering on that promise. Yet, limited access to employment, housing, healthcare, and immigration pathways creates interconnected challenges that make stability harder to achieve.
Founded in 2016 with $4,000 from a GoFundMe campaign, Arrived has grown from a kitchen-table operation into a nationally recognized nonprofit. When immigrants receive the coordinated support they need, communities grow stronger, local economies flourish, and the promise of American life is renewed for another generation.
